Grandson of Olympic mare Carlina 

Ridden by Pius Schwizer, Carlina was one of world's best showjumpers for many yeas. For example, the Holsteiner mare won the World Cups of Oslo and Helsinki in a row in 2011, she was 2nd in the Grand Prix competitions of Aachen, Zurich, Dublin and Doha and 2nd in the World Cup Final in Geneva in 2010 and 3rd in the World Cup Final in 's-Hertogenbosch in 2012. At the Olympic Games in London, Carlina finished in 12th place. Talino de Tiji is a grandson of Carlina out of Nonstop daughter Rianne du Briot - dam of Nicola Philippaerts' H&M Vallonia de Reville. Sire Pegase van 't Ruytershof is a son of Comme Il Faut and a grandson of Cartani from the same dam as Jilbert van' t Ruytershof and is thus closely related to Emerald.
