Monks Spartan
2014 gelding by Stakkato
Born in 2014 Spartan is the son of the great stallion Stakkato, his strength and ability are attributes that he passes to his offspring. More than 360 successful sport horses sired by Stakkato are already registered. Stakkato has already achieved a life-winning sum of 240,000 Euro, and was a multiple German Champion and winner of International show jumping tests with Eva Bitter. In 2007, he was awarded the title ‘Stallion of the Year’ in Verden.
Spartans Dam line includes Berlin and Heartbreaker. In 2014 Berlin was officially honoured as a keur stallion at the KWPN Stallion Show. Having also contributed to the Dutch team gold medals in both the 2006 World Equestrian Games (Aachen), and the 2007 European Championships (Manheim). The WEG gold was sufficient to give him a permanent license and approval by his studbook of birth, Holstein. Spartan has top class breeding and is maturing into an excellent stallion for the future.
Performance
After being given time to grow as a 4yr old, Sparky came out and caught up as a 5yr old, he was placed in many 5yr old classes as shows such as Bolewsorth YH Championships, Northcote YH, and Weston Lawns YH. He has gained all his newcomer double clears for 2020, and is currently jumping foxhunter classes. He will be aimed at Newcomer second rounds and 6yr old classes this year.
